Synergy was established on March 27, 2001 in Beijing, China. In 2002, Synergy supplied vacuum glazing for three major projects - “remote video and telephone conference building of State Council Three Gorges Construction Committee”, “office building of Beijing Xin Xing Real Estate Development Co.” and “Beijing Yuelanbaodi Office-apartment”. In September 2004, Synergy built its first production line in Ciqu industrial park in Beijing and which is capable of producing 20,000 square meters of vacuum glazing every year. At the end of 2006, the line was upgraded to a capacity of 100,000 square meters every year. Using this production line, Synergy supplied “Tsinghua Energy Efficient Demonstration Building” and “Sky Plaza”. Sky Plaza project is the first building in the world that used vacuum glazing for glass curtain wall, out-doors and windows. In the following three years, Synergy had a series of achievements in promoting vacuum glazing. Projects completed include Hepingmen Commercial and Residential Building, Ecology Demonstration Project, Olympic Village Micro-energy Kindergarten, Olympic Forest Park, Office Building for Construction Ministry of Hebei Province, China. On November 21, 2006, Synergy received official recognition for its vacuum glazing production technique and key equipments. Synergy participated in the edition of JC/T1079-2008 “Vacuum Glazing” industry criterion and “Building Glass Applied technology regulations” (the vacuum glazing part) which were approved and released in 2008. Heat-strengthened vacuum glazing prototype has been fabricated in 2009, it has lower U-value, better sound insulation, especially better mechanical property and greater safety. With all of these advantages, large amount of safety vacuum glazing will be applied in curtain walls in the upcoming future.
